Tom Gear (l) Darling Relay Chairman 2001 and 2002, holds the Torch while Margaret Causby (c), Darling Relay Chairman for 2003, lights the Torch to begin the 2002 Torch Relay. Roger Cawthon (r) and wife Kathy (not shown) have chaired this event for the past two years. The Torch took two laps around Darling Stadium before being taken out to the streets of Hampton and Newport News on it's way back to Todd Stadium.
