Balloon Pop

A variation of a traditional raffle, team members collect prizes and donate their own goods or services as prizes for this fund-raiser.  Before filling a balloon with helium, put a note inside with the name of a prize. Donors pay $1 to buy a balloon and pip it to find out what they have won.

A Personal Letter From You

Compile a list of potential donors from your holiday card list or address book.  Dedicate your personal effort to someone who has had cancer and tell their story in your letter. List your own contribution.  Ask for a specific amount and aim high!! Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for donations. Send a copy to:

friends
doctor or dentist
hairdresser
business associates
banker
mechanic
church members
club/association members

Remember to thank everyone who donates! Hand written notes or postcards are especially nice!
